Older Drivers

346 people lost their lives in older driver-related crashes on Nevada roads between 2016-2020.

The Nevada Crash Data Dashboard provides information on who is involved in older driving fatalities and fatal crashes, where and when these crashes occurred, and why they happened. Nevada’s strategies to reduce older driving fatalities and serious injuries are listed below.

  1. Promote and educate older drivers and family members on comprehensive driving evaluations and encourage early planning to transition from driving.
  2. Incorporate roadway design features to meet the mobility needs of older drivers.
  3. Expand transportation choices to improve the mobility options for older drivers.
