Vision Zero Action Plan Update City of Las Vegas April 2026	Click to View	The City of Las Vegas 2026 Vision Zero Action Plan Update (2026–2028) reaffirms the City's goal of eliminating all traffic-related deaths and serious injuries by 2050, building on its 2022 plan through a data-driven Safe System Approach. It uses crash data from 2018–2022—including the refreshed High Injury Network—to target the leading causes of severe crashes and prioritize safety improvements across the City's highest-risk corridors and intersections.

Zero Deaths and Safe System FHWA August 2025	Click to View	The FHWA’s Zero Deaths and Safe System initiative promotes the vision that no traffic fatality is acceptable and that roadway systems should be designed to protect all users. It emphasizes the Safe System Approach, which recognizes human mistakes and physical vulnerability, using safe roads, safe vehicles, safe speeds, safe road users, and post-crash care to prevent deaths and serious injuries.
Dangerous by Design Smart Growth America June 2026	Click to View	Dangerous by Design is a recurring national report that examines pedestrian safety and ranks states and major metropolitan areas based on pedestrian fatality rates. The 2026 report found that pedestrian deaths have increased 72% since 2009, arguing that U.S. roads remain dangerous because they prioritize vehicle speed over the safety of people walking, with disproportionate impacts on older adults, lower-income communities, and racial and ethnic minority populations.
Advocates Roadmap Reports Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety December 2025	Click to View	The Advocates Roadmap Reports are annual assessments that evaluate state traffic safety laws and provide policy recommendations for reducing roadway deaths and injuries. The 2026 Roadmap to Safety report grades states on their adoption of proven safety measures, and calls for stronger action on issues such as speeding, impaired and distracted driving, seat belt use, and other strategies to improve road safety.
