Strategy Teams
Aligning with the Safe System Approach, the Nevada SHSP will include the five Safe System Approach Elements as the focus areas of the plan. A Strategy Team will be established for each focus area to prioritize limited resources on the most critical highway safety problems within a state.

Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy Teams leadership will include co-chairs that represent a state-level agency and a local-level agency.
- Provides subject matter expertise and leadership to Strategy Team
- Assists in developing actions and ensures progress is made in the implementation of actions
- Gather updates from Task Forces and reports on progress and challenges to Steering Committee
- Ensures meetings are held to provide implementation updates, discuss progress, challenges and general
action-related activities
Safer People: The Safer People Strategy Team plays a crucial role by focusing on improving road safety for all users. The team addresses a wide range of specialties that are focused around the human element and behavior based change safety improvements.

Safer Roads: The Safer Roads Strategy Team is dedicated to improving road safety through infrastructure based solutions and countermeasures. The Safer Roads Strategy Team aims to create safer travel environments for all road users and all modes of travel.

Safer Vehicles: The Safer Vehicles Strategy Team works to promote and support the availability of vehicle systems and features that help prevent crashes and minimize their impact on both occupants and non-occupants. This includes new technologies and alternatives to personal passenger vehicle use.

Safer Speeds: The Safer Speeds Strategy Team will promote safer speeds in all roadway environments through a combination of thoughtful and context-appropriate roadway design, proper speed-limit setting, targeted education, outreach campaigns, and enforcement.

Post Crash Care: The Post Crash Care Strategy Team works to enhance crash survivability by ensuring rapid access to emergency medical care and creating a safe working environment for first responders. This includes preventing secondary crashes through robust TIM practices and emergency services. The team also places emphasis on regulatory and legislative measures, justice services, and data analysis to support their efforts.
