Partnering to Reach Zero Fatalities

This year, the Las Vegas Coalition for Zero Fatalities was formed by several new partners with the goal of helping eliminate fatalities on Nevada’s roadways. The coalition was spearheaded by Lyft and also includes Topgolf, the Downtown Project, PT’s Entertainment Group, the Raiders, Downtown Summerlin, and several others.

The coalition kicked off its efforts this last New Year’s Eve, providing $25,000 in free ride credits and a public service announcement (PSA) campaign, resulting in more than 1,000 rides. This combination of efforts from all partners led to the second consecutive “Zero Fatalities” New Years with zero traffic fatalities over the holiday weekend. The coalition has also pledged an additional $75,000 in Lyft ride credits to be distributed on future high-consumption holidays. Future campaigns are expected to focus on the start of football season and Labor Day weekend.
