Local Road Safety Plans (LRSPs) help to prioritize safety issues using a data-driven approach and identify key strategies that address the issues to reduce fatalities and serious injuries. Fully funded by NDOT through the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), the process results in a prioritized list of issues, risks, actions, and improvements that can be used to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on the local road network. This is a partnership with NDOT, not a grant program, and will be available for four years with the possibility to be continued based on funding and interest in the program.
