Zero Fatalities Expands Partnership with Lyft

Impaired driving continues to be a consistent problem in Nevada and is a common cause of motor vehicle crashes resulting in injuries or death. In 2017, there were 99 impaired driving fatalities. The Driving Under the Influence (DUI) coalition is comprised of community leaders in various industries with a shared goal of eliminating impairment-related fatalities by increasing the visibility and accessibility of safe ride alternatives. Partnership contributions include integrated campaigns, dedicated in-venue signage, social media promotions, events, and community outreach throughout the year.

Zero Fatalities is expanding its partnership with Lyft by teaming up with local businesses and organizations dedicated to eliminating fatalities caused by impaired driving in Northern Nevada. Lyft will pledge an unprecedented $50,000 in free ride credits to be distributed during major consumption holidays to support the coalition’s campaigns promoting safe transportation options to the northern Nevada community.

Northern Nevada coalition partners include Zero Fatalities, Lyft, Grand Sierra Resort, Sierra Gold, Sierra Junction, Bully’s Sports Bars, MedMen, Hot August Nights, Ten Country 97.3, Swag 104.9 and 93.5 Carson City, Alice 96.5, and Reno Rodeo.
